At MFG West, typical applications for lite resin transfer molding are medium to large-scale production parts, such as:

  • Belt guards
  • Fenders
  • Fan shrouds
  • Hoods
  • Sun visors
  • Side extenders
  • Transition panels
  • Valance panels
  • Grille
  • Tanks
  • Roofs
  • Fairings

Lite resin transfer molding begins with a mold base and a mold top (counter mold) that are vacuum-sealed together. Then a catalyst resin is pressure pumped into the vacuum sealed mold to form the fiberglass part. Once the resin cures, the part is released from the mold. Lite resin transfer molding is perfect for fast production cycles in high production runs.
